Little Gem's Childcare Team is growing and we have opportunities for two more assistants, subject to references, a full DBS check and a two day Paediatric First Aid Course.

We are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.30am to 6.30pm all year round, as we offer breakfast club, preschool, afterschool club and holiday care too.

Staff shifts vary between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

Requirements:

• ‪Experience of working with children is desirable, it is however important you enjoy loving and caring for children

• Be reliable and punctual

• Have enthusiasm and confidence to play

• Willing to learn about relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation

• Ability to organise and motivate yourself and others

• Ability to relate well to children and adults

• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position

• Caring, adaptable and understanding

• To take reasonable care of themselves and other persons who may be affected by the acts or omissions at work.

• To co-operate with employer, being flexible and understanding as job description will include duties similar to a "Mothers Help" and "Household cleaner" especially at domestic premises

• To be able to do domestic and non-domestic cleaning

• Flexible to work at either of our Dartford settings

• Be able to follow weekly activity planning

• To communicate with parents and carers

• Always maintain safety of all children, staff and parents and carers.

• Willing to complete online or in house training security

• All employees are required to remain vigilant on the premises and to report security issues to the Manager.

Salary:

Salary meets national minimum wage requirements, apprenticeships are also paid at minimum wage. Salaries can be offered based on previous experience and qualifications. An example based at 16 hours per week is £605 paid per month.
